Выживаемость почечных трансплантатов от HLA-идентичных или гаплоидентичных живых родственных доноров всегда бывает выше по сравнению с выживаемостью трупных почек. Это оправдывает применение в трансплантации почек от живых родственных доноров. Кроме того, в настоящее время нет клинических данных, свидетельствующих о том, что в единственной оставшейся донорской почке может развиться почечная недостаточность вследствие гиперфильтрации. Наблюдения в течение 45 лет за молодыми людьми после односторонней нефрэктомии показали, что операция вызывает лишь незначительные обратимые эффекты. При этом качество жизни у живых доноров почки в Норвегии было даже выше, чем в общей популяции. * Перевод И. Г . Ким
