Постоянное совершенствование техники перитонеального диализа (ПД) позволило существенно уменьшить частоту перитонитов, однако последние остаются важнейшим инфекционным осложнением, оказывающим неблагоприятное влияние на свойства брюшины и в значительной степени определяющим не только возможность использования метода, но и выживаемость больных.
